Yogurt: Fat free frozen yogurt would be my choice but be wary of high sugar content in some products. You could use honey to sweeten the yogurt.

Evaluation: It could be that the ice cream irritated your throat or reflux causing you to cough. Sometimes coughing after food or ice cream is normal but it could also indicate other nervous or gastric issues so you may want to visit your doctor.

Lactose sensitivity?: Comercial baby formulas all tend to be constipating when that is the baby's main source of nutrition. Changing to milk may alter the stooling pattern temporarily. Also, people can have varying levels of lactose sensitivity, and can tolerate dairy products if taken in smaller amounts. The character of bowel movements; hard, soft, liquid, is more important than number of stools.

Good for you.: Some people with lactose intolerance can tolerate small amounts of lactose-containing foods. It may be that you have found a yogurt that you can tolerate. Protein inactivation: Baking or cooking milk inactivates many of the proteins that cause allergic reactions. In todays markets, there are many milk substitutes that you can try. Start with lactose free milk, then A3 milk, then milk alternatives (soy, coconut, oat). Remember that consuming the same allergen over and over can cause an escalation of the allergic reaction. Don't feed him regular milk.

Glucose vs fructose: Glucose can raise blood sugar more than fructose, but often it's a sign of other things. Have you been checked for diabetes?

what is causing kidney stones? they're pure calcium oxylate,but i rarely drink milk, eat ice cream,yogurt,cheese & drink 8-10 lg bottles of h2o daily.

Calcium is good: Lots of water is important to prevent stones. But ironically, low dietary Ca actually increases risk of Ca stones. Probably because  less Ca in food increases absorption of oxalate (from plants). More Ca in diet binds w/ oxalate in gut, instead of in urine. Thus fewer stones. Some people excrete excessive Ca in urine, &amp;meds can reduce Ca excretion. Get the Ca/creatinine ratio checked in urine.
