Acid Reflux: Your symptoms are typical of gastroesophageal reflux and may be relieve by an otc acid reducer.  If you have occasional heartburn, that is confirmatory.  But if you do not have hearburn, it does not rule out acid reflux as it is often "silent."  except for the cough, of course.

: If you have smoked marijuana before without problem, the current symptom may be due a contaminated ingredient. You have to discard the one you currently use. Drink warm tea or water mixed with honey and fresh ginger will sooth your throat.

i've recently been treated for pnemonia and sinus infection. most of my symptoms are gone, but i have a "frog in the throat" and have to force up small amounts of mucus every morning (no cough). the mucus has blood in it, how much should i worry?

: The forcing of mucus up every morning can cause a little bleeding and likely the reason. Mucus in the throat is from post nasal drip at night. Would be best to drink plenty of more liquids, take mucinex to thin the mucus and ensure your sinuses are clearing with a decongestant. Chronic sinusitis is often the cause of pneumonia with the post nasal drip. Make sure the the beeding also stops.

being allergic to cats, my throat and ears will itch. to scratch my throat, i will press my tongue against the roof of my mouth and suck back into my throat. it creates a frog like noise. is this common? if so, is there a name for that action of itch?

: Allergic reactions may worsen and cause respiratory difficulty, trouble swallowing and vomiting. It is important to discuss the use of Benadryl, EPI Pen with your physician. Based on your reaction, keep Benadryl available. Watch for shortness of breath and wheezing.
