See below: Skull fracture is a broken bone on skull and can be seen on plain xray or cat scan.  A concussion is loss of consciousness, or loss or memory or both as a consequence of head trauma.  The two could occur simultaneously.

Crunch: From the standpoint of the observer i suspect "thud" would be descriptive. The recipient on the other hand would likely experience a crunch sound or crack noise which they may or may not recall as a result of amnesia which frequently accompanies the fracture.

Depends: As long as it is not open or pressing brain, we normally observe the fracture, which should heal.  If there is spinal fluid leakage into nose or ear, you might need specialist's evaluation.  If it has opening of scalp, the wound needs to be carefully inspected and closed.  If it has indentation into the brain, you might need surgery to prevent seizure.

Skull fracture: Depends on the type and severity of the fracture. In some cases such as a linear non-depressed fracture no surgery might be indicated. In an open depressed skull fracture a neurosurgeon would go in and elevate the depression and do further repairs to the areas underneath the fracture if that is needed. Then the fracture can be repaired as needed.

Six months: After an injury like that it is not uncommon for the headaches to go on for several months. Usually by six months most posttraumatic headaches have resolved but they can last even up to one year although that is less likely. Hang in there. They will eventually get better in most cases.
