i hit my forehead on my sink. i felt an indentation soon after. there was swelling, but it went down. now i am feeling a lot of pain and headaches?

Headache/Head bump: Means you need to see your doctor.  You may have had a concussion.  Please and good health.

what can be the causes of daily forehead headaches between the eyes? at times, there is swelling as well. i had a brow lift five years ago.

Chronic Headaches: Daily headaches can be frustrating and cumbersome; they occur due to many reasons.  Use of medications like Ibuprofen and triptans on a frequent basis can cause headaches.  Family history of headaches also predisposes a person to headaches.  Other factors involved include stress, physical trauma, sleep disorders, and previous history of headaches. Swelling is probably a separate issue; consult pcp.

is it normal to have swelling on forehead 2 weeks after getting a concussion.  ct day of showed normal but i still have headaches.  ?

Accepted Answer

Yes: Post concussive headaches can last for months. The ct is reassuring re a brain bleed and mass lesion. There are some medicines that can help. Consider seeing your your neurologist or pcp re meds. The treatment of concussion has drastically changed over the years and has become more and more conservative.Suggest you discuss these with your md.

i hit my forehead with eyeglasses that it formed a little lump6 days ago and it was sore the swelling is getting down but 4 days now i have slight headache and feels like my nose is burning like headache is facial, should i worry?

: Probably not but go to walk in clinic for evaluation if headache is new.

No: A teenager can become dependent on marijuana. Drug dependence is the body's physical need, or addiction, to a particular substance, in order for the person to feel like he is functioning normally. Over time, drug dependence leads to physical harm in the user's brain and body, to behavioral problems, and to association with people who also abuse drugs and commit crimes to obtain drugs.

Occipital nerves: Occipital nerves run in the back of the head and I often see headache patients with tenderness in this area.  Not unusual to see or hear for a neurologist and I'd say almost every headache patient I see has some degree of tenderness in this area.  If its a problems, thing can be done to help out.  See a neurologist that like to treat headaches.

i hit my head on a shelf while cleaning. there's swelling, a small cut from the shelf corner, and a headache (i've one all day tho, and concus hist). i plan to wait for symptoms. is that ok? should i not go to martial arts class for a bit?

: The described injury should be self limited, not a big deal. You can attend the martial arts class but not participating in sparring for a week or so.

Can call Dr on video: Most people have a headache at some time, such as from colds and flus, lack of sleep, too much driving, long hours on the computer, stress at work, etc... Some people temporarily try over-the-counter options like Tylenol, Motrin, Aleve, or their generic brands. A persistent, recurrent, or weird headache, such as this one should be examined by a doctor. Can give one's doctor a call.

i hit my head off a pipe in the basement about two hours ago i have a mild headache, there was swelling but i applied ice is it ok to sleep?

Not sure: Is it a normal time for you to sleep or do you feel tired/groggy because you bumped your head?  The risk is that with brain injury and concussion, the respiratory center in the brain can become compromised and staying awake long enough to seek medical care is thus important.  It is unlikely, however, that you hit it hard enough to cause concussion or internal bleed. No way to know without an exam
