Nothing serious : Early on, after surgery, fatty foods might cause discomfort similar to a gallbladder attack.  After a few weeks,  you should be able to tolerate fatty and oily foods without a problem.  Your ability to digest fatty foods should be unaffected.

Depends: How long ago was your surgery? Gallbladder & gallstones are usually both removed at surgery. Usually can eat everything given enough time after surgery. Start with smaller and lighter soft foods & soups, avoid fatty & greasy foods at first. Then gradually return to a full normal and regular diet over a couple weeks as you recover from surgery.

A : A gallbladder flush is an excellent form of detoxification in a patient who has adequate health. If you are doing a flush and you develop an obstruction from stones, that could cause significant complications.   Because your gallbladder is diseased and filled with sludge, a significant amount of toxic material will be released which could overload your system. There is potential for reabsorption of toxins through your intestines with subsequent release into your blood stream.  I agree with your doctor that the risk from a gall bladder flush is too high at this time. I hope this is helpful. Good luck.

Same day.: When performed laparoscopically, most people are able to tolerate some foods the same day.  It is not uncommon to have some nausea initially, but by 2-3 days after surgery, most people are back to their normal diet.

Anything, but...: Beware. Any food with oils, fats, or dairy may cause cramping and / or diarrhea. None of these will hurt your body, you just may not feel so well. As for bland diets, there is no reason that what you eat can't be flavorful. Spices and seasonings have nothing to do with bile and its functions.

Speak to the surgeon: By this time , you should be able to hold the food, speak to your surgeon , take an appointment for examination now.

: I wouldn't be worried about bright yellow urine, but would be very concerned about presence of brown urine and clay colored stools, indications of possible bile duct blockage. Nevertheless recurrence of that episode or on going discomfort should be reported to your surgeon.

Yes: It is not unusual to have some diarrhea after gallbladder surgery. Many people do not, however many people may experience loose stools particularly after eating. If it is severe, there is medication available to help with that problem.
