Specific & limited: Pregnenolone is an adrenal hormone made from cholesterol, and is the pre-cursor for sex-steroid hormones. It is said to 'improve mood, ' but no strong data support. To my knowledge there is no role for it's use as a supplement. Aromatase inhibitors are for treatment of some breast cancers; they're also used off-label for ovulation induction in women. No other appropriate uses to my knowledge.

Benefits > downsides: Hormonal therapy has systemic benefits in er+ patients (similar to chemo), reduces local recurrence after breast conservation, and reduces the risk of second/new breast cancers.  Head to head each of these is slightly better for ais than tamoxifen.
Ais major side effects are menopausal symptoms, bone and joint symptoms (arthralgias), and decrease in bone density.

No.: Aromatase inhibitors are a class of drugs used to kill breast cancer cells.  This medication is used as a chemotherapy drug for selected breast cancer patients.  There is no homeopathic alternative.

No: There are no over the counter aromatase inhibitors. They are only available by prescription.

No: Tamoxifen belongs to a class of drugs called selective estrogen receptor modulators (serms).  It works by blocking the binding of estrogen to estrogen receptors, thus disabling hormone-sensitive breast cancer cells.  Aromatase inhibitors block the conversion of androgens to estrogens, effectively removing estrogen from the body (in postmenopausal women).

Not clear: For patients on these drugs for breast cancer there is no downside to workouts. There may be some muscle or joint discomfort, but there is no danger for workout. Workouts are good for women on these drugs.
The use in body builders is a bad ideas because of joint pain, cholesterol changes. Some are taken illegally to block side effects of androgen. 
In that case illegal and not smart!

No it is not.: Even though it is an over the counter supplement, it is not recommended by any reputable manufacturer to be taken before you are 18.  If you are asking about it as a way to increase your testosterone levels, remember if it was successful it would prematurely lead to your bones fusing and stunt your growth/height!

May be effective: For boys with short stature, and no other known cause, aromatase inhibitors have been used.  It is still considered experimental, and it is not clear that it will increase adult height.  Much depends on the specific condition.   As with anything that may increase testosterone, there are side effects.  You should only do this under the care/supervision of a pediatric endocrinologist.

Yes: No significant interactions between the two drugs.

No.: Flaxseed is sometimes tried for cancer because it is broken down by the body into chemicals called “lignans.” lignans are similar to the female hormone estrogen - so similar, in fact, that they compete with estrogen for a part in certain chemical reactions. As a result, natural Estrogens seem to become less powerful in the body. Aromatase is not estrogen.
