Inhalation of pigweed pollen, when allergic, can cause nasal and eye allergy symptoms like runny nose, itchy nose, itchy watery eyes, and sometimes cough or breathing difficulty if allergy is severe enough.

It's your son: It's not about you but about your son who has become allergic to something you eat.   Allergy develops when genes and environment interact.   I presume you are posting this on behalf of your wife or partner otherwise it would be weird for a male to be breast-feeding :)
Depends on the foods, some food allergies tend to go away in a couple of years, others such as peanuts mostly not.

? thermometer: His regular temperature appears to be below average and I wonder as to how accurate the thermometer is.  Try another one to see if you get the same measurement. I have no ready explanation for the lower temperature while being sick but it is possible that being less active or not eating tends to lower one's temperature. However the accuracy of your thermometer should be verified.

Wide categories: Beans and potatoes are vegetables, and you say your son has allergies to "veggies."  Do you mean ALL "veggies" or just specific ones?  (and fruits and rye, etc).  If you're not sure, please check with the physician who did the food allergy testing.

Peanut butter.: In the us 0.6% of adults & 1.4%  of children have peanut allergies. I can't tell you if your child will have a peanut allergy. Peanut butter can be introduced when the child eats solid foods.  Start with small spoonful.  Don't give whole peanuts to children who are younger than 3 years old because it is a choking hazard. Take care.

See MD: Hard to say with info offered--allergic shiners are caused by sluggish circulation associated with venous blood vessel congestion--therefore darker color.  See your doctor to check.
