Immediate pain after eating is more likely to be a GI disorder like an ulcer or gallbladder problem, but it could also be from a food allergy.

Gastritis: Without knowing what your specific symptoms are and without a history, physical and possibly labs it is impossible to really know what is going on, but you might try some peptobismol. If this keeps up would suggest seeing a doctor. Hope it clears up soon.

GI upset: Ginger can reduce nausea &amp; upset stomach. You can drink slightly flattened ginger ale or nibble on crystallized ginger. Or pour boiling water over freshly sliced organic ginger &amp; steep x 5 min in a covered pot. Sip.

Kidneys: Inmost cases, there are no problems with other organs.  But the organs you worry most about are the kidneys.  Dehydration from food poisoning could cause kidney failure, which is why staying hydrated is so important.  In addition, some types of e.Coli infection may damage kidneys directly (not through dehydration).  The risk is increased when it is treated with antibiotics.

: Since you didn't eat for almost 20 hours your, your colon was empty and what you ate irritated your stomach. If you ate something hot and spicey or with a high acidic content, than  that's why you feel this way. Take an OTC medication for upset stomach.

4 days = maybe safe: Contagiousness varies among different "stomach viruses" and among different people, so is not easily predictable. However, one can feel safer if the sick person wakes up on Day 5 without any symptoms the preceding 4 days. If unlucky, she can still catch a virus and come down with the illness. Food poisoning is usually less contagious, but depends on the bacteria type.
