Folliculits: The most common cause of folliculitis is a bacteria called staphylococcus aureus which is treated with oral antibiotics or topical antibiotics both of which are by prescription.

Not really: Herpes lesions typically resemble blisters that rupture, form shallow ulcers, then heal with scab formation.  Herpes lesions are painful. Hot tub folliculitis usually involves large surfaces of the body, and looks like red bumps and/ or pustules. There are no ulcers

Yes we do not have: a way to guarantee complete eradication of MRSA.  So it stays on your skin in small concentration and lives happily along with the billions of other bacteria that inhabit there.  And if you are prone to skin infections, then most likely they will continue to cause problems in the future.  Just hopefully not too often.  Washing with Hibiclens and such has not been proven to help consistently.

Hot tub: I think if it was hot tub folliculitis the rash would be more extensive. This may be a localized reaction to a product or moisture. Keep it clean and continue to monitor the rash. All the best.

is it normal to feel inguinal lns. they're about the size of a pea and smaller. saw pcp, said was due to folliculitis. nodes still present follic gone?

Adenopathy: Enlarged inguinal lymph nodes are very common since they are in a very "dirty" area of the body and they clean things up for a living. Although if the folliculitis was actually the reason for their presence, they may stay large for a lengthy time period, and sometimes may never go away. If they are not enlarging and you have no other symptoms would not worry.  Good luck.

Any Brand is Good: It does not matter you can use any brand and if it does not get better than consult your doctor as you may need a topical antibiotic and/or Systemic Antibiotics

Possible infection.: I assume you have an abscess in the groin which may need  incision and drainage , may be biopsy and also antibiotics. So please go and see a surgeon asap before you have more complications.

Candidal vaginitis: If you are not having a discharge and just a rash it is usually reddish, flat, non-tender, may be itchy.  Most often there are smaller satellite areas of redness outside the broad flat area in close proximity.  If vaginitis, the discharge is often white, cheesy, mildly malodorous.

Best to have exam: It would be best to have the rash seen by DERM or your DR.
Then a accurate DX will be make, sometimes scraping of the rash will be needed to confirm DX, and this can only be done after an exam.
Best to get an answer now, rather than worry about it for the future.
