Retention cyst: It is a fluid filled sac within the ovary.  It is one of the most common ovarian cysts.  Your OB/GYN Doctor can discuss it with you as some may require to be monitored and some may require treatment, depending on their size.  Best wishes.

i am diagnosed with a follicular retention cyst i have been on clomid for 4 cycles n i get injections of ivf c 5000 for two cycles .this cycle cyst is there ..will it dissolve ?and is this a hindrance in concieving ??

Size of cyst?: A large cyst may persist or grow larger with stimulation. A small one should be of little concern. Be sure to discuss with your doctor as well.

3 months: I can't be sure how to answer until you let me know your age. If you are somewhere between 30 and 45 years old your periods should be regular. At an older age periods you may have entered into menopause.
 You must discuss this with your Gynecologist.

can a sphenoid retention cyst kill you?

Nope.: It's just a snut bubble in a bony cavity (the sphenoid sinus). No way it will kill you.  One way of getting this out of there is snorting saline. 
(put 1 teaspoon of table salt or dead sea salt in a glass of water, inhale one teaspoon of this concoction up each nostril each morning and evening for a week or two) will most likely fix this (old Ayurveda trick).

Maxillary sinus: Most retention cysts of the maxillary sinus spontaneously regressed or showed no significant change in size over the long term.  In the absence of associated complications, "wait and see" may be the appropriate management strategy for these retention cysts. Patients with cysts of the maxillary sinus may present to the ophthalmologist with proptosis, enophthalmos, diplopia, ptosis, epiphora.

Cyst: Great question. Maxillary cysts are in the maxillary sinus which is a cavity below your eye and over your lip. A cyst is a benign ballon of mucous in that sinus. They are very common and usually are not treated. If the cyst uncommonly becomes very large they would require surgery. ( again very uncommon)

Discuss at postop: It's difficult to assess your wound from your description alone and it may be best to discuss with your surgeon at the time of your postop examination which i assume should be soon. Other signs to call him/her earlier would be infection or bleeding or drainage.

dr suspects silent reflux.been on many acid meds that don't help for long periods. suggestions? it's been over a yr now. can a retention cyst cause it

If symptom : Has been going on for that long, I would suggest to be evaluated by a gastroenterologist if you haven't seen one yet and possible will need endoscopy vs esophageal pH test.
