Maybe: The fact Monistat helped leads to thinking this is a yeast infection. Many yeast infections are resistant to Monistat and may respond better to fluconazole. However, bacterial vaginosis is more common and will not respond to yeast medications in the long run. If recurrent, have your vaginal pH tested and possibly get cultured.

OK: I don't think it's A problem to use both agents. Diflucan, at a single oral dose,  at times doesn't clear a vaginal yeast infection and the dose has to be repeated.

Give it 2 more days: Even if monistat works for you, it will likely take about 3 days to significantly impact your discharge.   Since this is not a life-threatening issue, whether you need to see your doctor now or next month depends on how intolerable the situation is to you.

See your doc!: See your doc. Sometimes stubborn yeast infections need other treatments. Sometimes it may be another infection like bacterial vaginosis [or a sexually transmitted illness], which needs a different kind of treatment.
