See a doctor: With flu like symptoms and a rash, I would seek urgent evaluation. I would at least call your doctor or go to an Urgent Care center. When you say 'flu like' -those symptoms can include fever--so that is what has raised my alarm. There must be more to your history to help figure this out. Because symptoms seem to be progressing I would not waste time.

Prolonged: Typical viral flu like illnesses usually run their course in a week or so. At this time you should consult your physician who will take a thorough history of your symptoms and a system review, perform a physical examination and order any appropriate tests in order to make a diagnosis. Are symptoms respiratory, gastrointestinal, urinary, dermatological? Then proceed from there.

i tested negative for covid. i have flu like symptoms but my temperature has been very low. around 95.5. is that something that is seen?

: 95.5 F is not considered VERY LOW. Fever is common in viral infection but not always. I also wonder how you check your temperature, tympanic or rectal temperature is mostly close to body core temperature. During the cold season, measure temperature on the skin by smart watch or forehead scan will give you a low result.

i have been in close contact with someone who has been in  italy recently. they displayed mild flu like symptoms but have since recovered. i have also felt very mild flu like symptoms. do i need to be tested for covid-19?

Yes: Yes it is a good idea. sometimes Covid 19 and flu (and other common cold virus) could share similar symptoms.

Need more info: A shift of neutrophils vs lymphocytes can suggest a bacterial vs viral infection, but it is not at all a clear indication that antibiotics are needed.  See your clinician for more history and exam, ad possibly more tests defending on symptoms and exam findings.

Need to examine: It is not feasible to provide a meaningful opinion without taking additional history, physical examination and may be some tests. It would be prudent to see your doctor and discuss if you may be depressed. Counter-intuitive as it may seem, exercise may help. Start with low intensity exercise such as walking and gradually increase the intensity as tolerated.  Wish you good health!

Any number: Of things can cause these symptoms, outside of the urinary tract.  Some examples are pelvic infection, abscess, or tumor.  Have it checked out.

A cold or URI: Sounds like you have a cold.  Colds are generally self limited and will get better with time.  Treat the symptoms as best you can with OTC products.
