Uncertain: If you have the "flu" (which i would not just assume given that this is not flu season) and you are having hot flashes (which might represent fevers) then i would suggest that evaluation by your doctor for a source of infection would be a good idea.

Not typical: Need more detailed description of symptoms.  Where are the headaches, are they constant, how severe, what relieves them, etc.  Are you having fever, when and how much; sore throat, muscle aches, gastrointestinal changes (nausea, vomiting, diarrhea).  To what have you been exposed (sexually or otherwise).  This does not necessarily sound like influenza, but need more info.  See doctor.

i had stomach flu a week ago. i felt better but now eating heavy foods gives me hot flashes (pre-diarrhea) and diarrhea 2x in past week. why?

Post flu: It is not uncommon after the flu to have a change and Bowel movements which can be normal. If the diarrhea is Green please consult with us to get a antibiotic potentially.

Flu: You have to differentiate between 2 things that may happen after flu: one is bacterial infection ( staph pneumonia) which usually presents with high grade fever, chills, cough w\o chest pain. The other thing is the post viral syndrome which usually a continuation of the flu symptoms but get milder with time.

"The flu": True "flu" is a single virus--influenza--with a number of different strains. Sometimes they can have varying symptoms including vomiting and the others you described. But a number of other viruses get called "the flu" by people on assumption, without testing. The only way to know for sure if you have influenza is to have a test performed on your nasal secretions by your physician.

i have been battling with flu for 6 days now.  i cough, sneeze a lot , hot flashes and headaches.  i have been taking flu tablets and vitamin c but it does not seem to be helping.

Flu or COVID-19?: If "flu tablets" means an effective antiviral drug such as oseltamivir (Tamiflu) and there's been no improvement, probably you don't have influenza but some other viral infection. It could be COVID-19; if you have not been tested for coronavirus, ask your doctor about it ASAP. Good luck.

More info?: There are many causes of back pain.  When do you get pain? What type? How long does it last? Anything make it better? Anything make it worse? Does food affect the pain? Have you had any surgery ? How long has it been there? Have you tried any medications? Did they work? Did you injure yourself? Pulled muscle etc? Has anyone done any studies? See a doctor for exam and studies.

May need throat swab: Sore throat can be strep throat (antibiotics are needed), a cold or influenza (antivirals may be used), or from some other cause such as allergies or irritants. Usually, a person sees the doctor if symptoms are bothersome, recurrent, or don't go away quickly (to see if antibiotics are needed). Hot flashes are considered the same as fevers. Doctor can examine, and maybe do a strep swab.

Carcinoid Tumors: Carcinoid tumors that can be found in small intestine or in the chest, could cause similar symptoms.  Sometimes they may cause hypotension too that cause "dizziness".   See an endocrinologist for a complete history ; physical exam as well as hormonal work up. "endometriosis"; "irritable bowel syndrome (ibs)"; "psychsomatic disorders"  ; "panic attacks" need to be ruled out also.
