None: First confirm it is a yeast infection (most vaginal discharges are not yeast).  If so, an anti-fungal agent like Monistat or Diflucan (fluconazole) is appropriate.  Probiotics are very good for many other things, but not for yeast infections.

All not powerful: You want to try different ones and see what is best for you. From joghurt to kefir to health food store tablets. Keep in mind that all are not too powerful.

See what is best for you, there is no exact science. Florastor is one that I have seen to be helpful.

Treatable: It will not hurt to take a probiotis. I highly recommend it. See your Gyn about Boric Acid treatment. Works everytime.

Yes, but....: The antibiotic will kill ( inactivate) the lactobacillus, especially if taken within 4 hours of dosing. Can take probiotic yeast, s boulardii, e.g. Florastor, at same time as the levaquin (levofloxacin).

hi taking probiotic with many strain vs taking acidophilus which is better for candida infection..? i heard taking to many strain can cause infection to increase plz suggest many thx..

Candida: I don't know what kind of candida infection you have, but if you take probiotics of different strains, make sure that lactobacillus acidophilus is at the top of the list of the probiotics in the preparation. Will help, also...: Yes, taking probiotics both by mouth and inserting vaginally at bedtime usually helps. There are many other home remedies that may help.See http://www.earthclinic.com/cures/yeast_infection.html for hundreds of people writing about what has and has not helped them. Many report probiotics help but other remedies like Boric Acid (available without Rx at pharmacies) &amp; apple cider vinegar can help too.

Not really: Probiotics include many species, some of which may be acidophilus.
