No: Stool color is normally borown and consisgtency is usually solid. Floating stool can indicate a bit of fat in your dieatary intake, it isw not a disease state, simply cut down on fried, greasy or fatty foods and add fresh fruit and veggies to your diet- should help.

: It is not feasible to provide an opinion without additional history, physical examination may be some tests. It would be prudent to see your doctor to see if you may be depressed. Depression is treatable. Counter-intuitive as it may seem, exercise may help. Start with low intensity exercise such as walking and gradually increase the intensity as tolerated. Drink more water. Floaters: 99% of floating stools are caused by trapped gas . This is the truth in spite of what you might pick up from 'pop' accounts. It happens to me if i chew gum. Congratulations on not using tobacco. Keep an eye on the stomach issues -- and if the pain changes, consider a check once again. And if you have malabsorption or maldigestion, it's much less subtle than just a floating stool.

See your doc: It can be anywhere from hemorrhoidal bleed to an inflammatory bowel disease. As far as eating, best will be to go in bowel rest for few days with only clear liquids if possible. You definitely need to see your doc.
