See a Provider: May be something in the vitreous, but see a Provider to have your eyes checked out. Make sure you are wearing sunglasses to protect your eyes and don't look directly at the sun.

Re-examination: If you’re still having symptoms of floaters and your vision doesn’t seem right, schedule a follow up appointment. You will need a refraction and a dilated eye exam. Only by this exam will you know for sure if you need glasses to help your near and far vision, and whether your retina is free of breaks or tears. Computer use has fatigued many of eyes and often requires discussion on aides. Good luck

Anxiety: you have a lot of symptoms and i notice you have a another post describing your symptoms. i have a feeling you saw the doctor who told you he found nothing wrong. i suspect anxiety is making you sick. consider seeing a shrink.

Changes in viteous: The most common cause of floaters is liquification of the gel in the center of the eye.It may also be hemrrhage related to tugging of the gel on a blood vessel.Itis important u see an eye doctor now because u may have also developed a tear, hole or retinal detachment associated withe floaters.

Vitreous floaters: Vitreous floaters can induce the symptoms you complain of.    What you require is a full medical eye exam with dilated pupils performed by an ophthalmologist (medical eye specialist) who can elucidate  and explain your symptoms.

Months or years: Floaters can settle to the bottom of the vitreous and become less noticeable, or the brain can "filter" them out...  Or, they may persist indefinitely.  Usually they are harmless albeit annoying.  If associated with flashes of light, a loss of field of vision, or if there is a change in the nature of the floaters, see an ophthalmologist right away.  For severe intractable floaters surgery can help

Depends, See Eye MD: Although many floaters are benign, a new onset of larger or "different" floaters especially if accompanied by any light flashes or changes in vision can be a warning for retinal problems.  Make sure not to rub the eye(s) and avoid any vigorous shaking of the head &amp; eyes while arranging to see your eye MD.  If the retina is involved, time is essential so don't put this off!

You need to be: evaluated as soon as possible. It sounds like you may have a retinal detachment or other intraoccular issue. The sooner you get evaluated the less likely you are to lose vision permanently in that eye. Go to your eye doctor ASAP.

Yes: A person in his late 60's who has new changes in his vision needs to get examined by his eye doctor as soon as possible. Sometimes, urgent treatment is needed to prevent loss of vision. Other times, it is not urgent. There is no easy way for a person to figure that out on his own at home. Thus, a trip to his eye doctor is needed... to see if those "things" are really floaters or something else.
