Anus problems : I would believe the one who you thought did the best job. In general the deeper you look the more you can see and diagnose. Discuss with your teams. Wonder about STD?

33 f - 4 week old fissure at 3oclock, no longer hurting just open like an ulcer feel like anal canal has narrowed, no urge to go toilet for 5 days, no bloat/pain can only open bowels with suppository, narrower stool & some blood. is this concerning?

: A fissure at 3 oclock is a bit unusual but at least a colorectal surgeon should evaluate. Narrow stools with a fissure suspicious for spasm in the anal sphincter and this could lead to infrequent and difficult stools. You can gall but cutting back on caffeine and alcohol increasing your intake of other fluids. If a surgeon suggest a proctoscopy or sigmoidoscopy &amp;/or sphincterotmy, get it done.

? obstruction: Narrow stools can sometimes be related to bowel obstructions (i.e., enlarged prostate,  cancer, rectal polyps etc). If this is a change in bowel habitus it warrants medical evaluation.

Shouldn't: Pepto bismal can cause the stool to become black because it contains bismuth. However, it should not cause thin stools. If you have chronic narrow stools -it is important to have this medically evaluated. Any major change to bowel habitus warrants assessment.

Yes: There is a wide variety. Some colon tumors get very large before ever causing any symptoms like narrow stools.  On the flip side, very small tumors can start bleeding and become symptomatic very early on.  Generally a larger tumor is worse.

No: More commonly due to spasm in lower colon.  However, sudden change in stool caliber, "pencil thin" stools, cramps, bleeding, nausea, weight loss need evaluation. Ongoing symptoms need evaluation. At the least, this should involve a doctor visit, perhaps other tests.

Only a descriptive: Term used to describe major changes in ones bowel habits. Size or measurement would not be used. Age 24 would be extraordinarily rare to get colon cancer. Mainly bowel function is based on your diet, and likely need higher fiber diet with fruits and vegetables, avoid junk foods, add metamucil, drink plenty water. See a doctor for an examination.
