Not recommended: This is fringe practice that is not supported by endocrinologists, who are the experts in hormones. I have seen people get very sick from improper use of thyroid hormone for things it was not meant to treat, and outside the scientifically established parameters for its use. There are very few scientifically valid reasons to use T3 (liothyronine).

It is taken orally, 100-200mg per day, and can cause side effects similar to other serotonin reuptake inhibitors (e.g. Fluoxetine).
