Meds for Fibro: Marijuana is not the treatment of choice for chronic pain.  The first job is to identify the source of the pain and repair the problem.  Some people, however, get into some chronic pain issues and need treatment for such.  There is a prescription medication, marinol, that contains the THC found in marijuana.  It can be helpful in select cases.  Legal marijuana at this point is still sketchy!

Works in some!: Marinol branded, or generic, is quite expensive.  I have used it with some success in patients, but others simply were buzzed! your doctor will experience "prior" authorization requests, and it can be  denied, unless he includes a letter and literature suporting its use. I quite, after this, as most physicians do for lack of time!

Multiple pain sympto: What u r having is common , talk with u physician and seek his advise , but remebe  pain can be chronic and medication can only help  u deal with it. As far cannabis goes , i don't advise u to use it since it can cause symptoms similar to schizophrenia . Good luck.

I : I don't think you would find that marijuana would have a negative effect on your adrenal insufficiency, other than causing fatigue, which is a natural side effect of marijuana, and also a symptom of adrenal insufficiency, but both due to different mechanisms.

Many people use medical marijuana for pain of many types with good benefits.

Medical marijuana: is more effective at treating symptoms of fibromyalgia than Cymbalta, Lyrica or Savella (milnacipran). Also CBT and alternative TCM are very helpful. Ask your rheumatologist for more information.

Need multiple : Different approach include medications, deep message, low impact exercise, cognitive behavior therapy, sleep quality, etc. If fibromyalgia is secondary then need to treat the underlying cause. It is very complex and require in depth eval. Cannabis use is controversial and definitely not the first line and mainstream therapy. Improve Vit D level could be beneficial, but not first line either.

Unclear: Medical marijuana is legal in several states, and many pts are convinced of benefits in headaches and other pain syndromes.  Yet, research, to convincingly prove benefits in the treatment of pain, are lacking.  Therefore, we may be seeing merely placebo effects due to the effect on mood and behaviour.  Eventually, i suspect that organized medicine will rigorously evaluate this, but no proof so far.
