Try and see.: Neither is intrinsically better and the side effect profile is quite close.  Try each of them at recommended dosage.  Assuming no contraindications you should consider about 650 mg asa 4 times per day or Motrin 600-800 mg 3 times per day.  See which one works best for you.

: Well just to be sure I think you should do a urine pregnancy test. This can be done at home. As far as sleeping you can I have to try different ideas try with a bra and  without. Wearing or not wearing a bra will not change the swelling but it may feel better one way or the other. Same with position in your body just try to get as comfortable as you can. It’s  likely that it will decrease soon.

Common issue: Women tend to have more menstrual dysfunction in their late thirties to early forties due to ovulation not happening as regular.  Also most women with adenomyosis at this age have lots of pain and bleeding.  You might benefit from an endometrial ablation.  I would set up an appointment with your GYN so blood work and ultrasound can be done.

Non medical : Danazol can be used for fibrocystic changes (fcc) but is not used too often. Most of us recommend simple interventions like decreasing caffeine intake and reducing stress.  Over the counter meds like vitamin E or evening primrose can be used as well.  
You may want to seek out a breast specialist for evaluation and review of non medical options.

Depends on symptoms: Fibrocystic breast disease(fcd) treatment depends on the presence of symptoms.  The most common symptom is pain and can be quite problematic.  Fcd symptoms can be treated with medications, dietary changes or removing fluid from the cyst(s)- also called cyst aspiration or fna.

Common: Common benign condition of painful breast swelling and breast nodularity in young women, often worse at menstrual cycle.  It can run in families. It can be made worse with some hormone medications. I do not know of a specific "treatment" of this other than anti-inflammatory medication for discomfort. Resolves after menopause.

Not indicated: Benign breast fibrocysric condition is not a "disease." it is fairly common & does not lead to breast cancer. Breast swelling, nodularity, discomfort & cysts occur. Mastectomy would not be indicated for this benign breast condition.

Not abnormal: The term fibrocystic changes is a general if not slightly over used term.
The dr was probably describing  dense breast tissue on mammogram.
Breast tissue density tends to diminish in most women as they age and pass through menopause. Some women maintain dense breast tissue through out there life. It does not have specific connotations. Just a range of normal. Estrogens can increase this.
