Not usually: Fever in and of itself should not affect your cycle. If you are on birth control pills and have associated stomach upset (vomiting, diarrhea), you may not absorb the pill as well through you GI tract and that could cause break through bleeding.

Can be: It can be normal to have some fluctuations of temperature as part of a woman's cycle.  If it is cyclical, it's likely hormonal. If this is the first time, make sure there's nothing else that could be cause of fever (no body aches, severe fatigue, nausea/vomiting, etc.)  it's still flu season and i wouldn't want you to not be treated for something that could be infectious, rather than hormonal.

Yes: If there is neck stiffness and headaches then yes dizziness and vomiting may be related to the car accident. I think an evaluation of a spinal specialist and imaging is indicated to improve your recovery.

i have been having a pain on my left side above the hip region. it kind of feels like a side stitch, but worse. i started my menstrual period yesterday morning and the pain started last night. no fever, blood in urine etc.. what could this be?

Ovary: Sounds like a pain in the ovary. It could be a cyst. They often resolve spontaneously after your menses. There are many other possibilities, including low grade infection, intestinal or appendix, urinary tract and hernia, so if it is severe or persistent, get it checked by a gynecologist.

can having a fever (or tylenol/naproxen taken to control the pain and fever) cause prolonged menstrual period (12+ days)? my personal was always 6-days long in a 27-day cycle in the past. can abnormal bleeding be related to the fever(no pelvic pain)?

: Menorrhagia (vaginal bleeding beyond 7 days) is less likely caused by fever and a couple days of using antipyretic agent. You can observe for now but if menorrhagia recurs next month or if you have bleeding again before the next cycle then you need to see a GYN doctor for ruling out structural or hormonal abnormality. Bad menstrual cramps: This is from a chemical called prostaglandin.  This causes all the problems you complain of.  The good news is there are inhibitors of this chemical like advil (ibuprofen) and alleve.
