Your heart rate: How was this heart rate taken?  88 is too low to be a normal fetal heart rate, the range is roughly 120's -150's.  If the reading was with a doppler or stethoscope, it is likely  that they picked up your heart rate and not your baby's.  Give your OB a call for clarification.

Hard to say: This question is difficult to answer, because we aren't typically measuring the fetal heartbeat over extended periods of time at this gestational age. Possible technical error .  There's not much to do ---&gt; continue to watch the pregnancy. It's normal for fetuses to have cyclic drops in their heartbeat. You may want to consider closer following and possibly an echocardiogram later in pregnancy.

Subchorionic bleed: Subchorionic bleeding typically does not cause pregnancy problems. Usually the bleed resolves sometimes by absorption or as a source of vaginal bleeding.   There has been some literature that associates subchorionic bleeding with premature birth, but there is no definite connection.

Pregnancy: Some patients get intermittent morning sickness but it is severe for others. Subchorionic bleeding also occurs commonly although sometimes it interferes with progress of pregnancy. Follow up with your doctor closely. Good luck.

Yes, somewhat: Yes, 120s to 150s is normal for a resting fetal heart rate. However , the ob's always talk about laying on different sides to ensure proper blood flow to the uterus, so make sure to shift position, and not to lay too long on one side. The baby is going to sleep inside of you too, and the heart rate may go down a bit while that is happening.
