Discuss w/ your dr.: There are many causes of ED including nutrient deficiencies, physical illnesses, meds and depression. You should see your PCP or specialist for a further evaluation. Vascular disease and diabetes can cause ED. Zinc and folic acid deficiency have been linked w/ ED. It's less clear whether iron supplementation can help if your levels aren't low. Review your meds w/ your Dr. and eat a healthy diet.

No: Your ferritin level indicates iron deficiency at the time of the test. Women keep losing iron with the menstrual bleeding and it would not do any harm to keep taking supplemental iron while you are having periods.

Iron deficiency: Most of the time iron deficiency is detected when the CBC is abnormal. However, some cases may still show numbers in the normal range, but tending towards a pattern consistent with iron deficiency. If the iron, iron binding and serum ferritin (panel) all point to deficiency then treatment is good. But should also ask why iron is low.

No problem: Two 65 mg pills, a standard size, will enter 130 mg so how did you get up to 325?  More pills?  Anyway your GI tract and body will easily deal with this and not cause anything but perhaps a darkening of your poop.

: Adult male iron requirement is 8mg per day.  How much you should take  would be guided by your diagnosis and cause of anemia. It is best to stay on whatever dose your MD recommended to correct the anemia. But if you are self medicating pl. stop and see an MD

Enteral iron: Might guve gi side effects but no anaphylaxis, like parenteral preparations sometimes do
