Am not sure what: you are asking.  Are you inquiring what internal sensation you should be experiencing in your rectum/ anus?  Or are you asking what it would feel like on a rectal examination?   Consider clarifying and resbumitting.

Only if you have : Something hard in your rectum and whatever it is, be it something inserted or impacted stool or a tumor, it isn't normal. Get examined by your doctor or a colon and rectal surgeon, sooner rather than later.

Rectal urges: What you describe could be from many things including severe constipation (a fecal impaction), but one of the more common causes of that type of urge and what we call tenesmus is from proctitis ( a mild form of colitis involving only the rectum).  The cause is not known but it is treatable with topical medication placed in the rectum at night

i am experiencing horrible constipation.  it feels like a log in my rectum.  please help ?

Constipation: If you have the urge to have a bm but can't,work from below by inserting a glycerin rectal suppository or a stronger dulcolax suppository. If no results insert a fleets oil retention enema followed by a regular fleets enema or tap water enema. Occasionally manual disimpaction of the rectum is required by a nurse or a physician.

Need visual exam: Stool samples can be stored at room temp but if you are having bleeding as described without diarrhea, then you really need to have it evaluated by some form of endoscopy. This can mean proctoscopy or flexible sigmoidoscopy in a doctors office or a full colonoscopy. If the sample is being tested for blood, that can be done at home with a number of stool blood tests that can be done at home.

is it weird or abnormal to feel pressure or weirdness in rectum when erect? no pain?

: The prostate which is located in front of the rectum may engorge when you have erection and that could be the reason for your feeling. Take care.

Levator muscle: what you describe sounds like levator muscle syndrome or proctalgia fugax.  very alarming and intense, but lasts usually less than 20 minutes.  sometimes wakes a patient from a sound sleep and can break one into a cold sweat.  But totally harmless.  just like a charley-horse, but in the butt muscles.

went number 2, hard pebble like consistancy, but also had gel like substance hanging from rectum. had this occur before but not all the time. why?

Rectal : Rectal prolapse in children usually occurs between the ages of 9 months and 3 years and usually resolves by the time the child is 6 years old.  Typically it can be treated at home with stoll softeners and a high fiber diet.  If the prolapse occurs at home, push it back in as soon as possible with a disposible glave and lubricating jelly.  Applying an ice pack can help decrease the swelling and make pushing it in a little easier.

Prolapses that are caused by underlying disorders such as cystic fibrosis or hirschprung's or those that cannot be fixed at home may require additional treatment such as a sclerosent injection or surgery.  If your child has a prolapsed rectum that is causing pain and cannot be reduced, he may need to go to the emergency room.
