post nasal drip and cough (super mild). i'm still experiencing difficulty swallowing. it feels like food is getting stuck in my esophagus or something, goes away with water. no cp or sob.interesting enough, it only happens at dinner. what is going on?

i have an upset stomach, no pain but tenderness. i burp a lot. i dont really have big appetite. when i eat i feel like my food gets stuck in my esophagus. im a bit bloated. i feel a burning sensation inside my stomach/abdomen. no constipation. help?

Esophagitis: GERD (gastric reflux) is very common and could produce your symptoms. An EGD (scope of your upper digestive system) can tell if this exists. In The meantime, OTC products like antacids (Tums, Rolaids), acid blockers (Pepcid, Zantac) can relieve symptoms, as well as eating slowly, sitting up straight and NOT bending (keep head above stomach area).

About that...: That is the curse of having health anxiety. Normal bodily sensations and abnormal bodily sensations all are perceived as signs of illness... making it very difficult for either the patient or the doctor to tell when the patient is actually sick (other than suffering the sickness of health anxiety). The patient must teach himself which of his pains, his cramps, his sniffles, etc., are normal.

See your doctor: Food always getting stuck in the esophagus can be caused by narrowing of the esophagus (scarring, tumor, congenital, etc) or from diminished saliva production. Best to see your doctor to find out the cause of your symptoms.

Esophagus: If you cannot swallow water or are drooling, go to the ER. Could try warm tea to relax pharyngeal muscles

Probably not, but: By age, unless there is some family or ethnic history( eg. You were not born and raised in wi), highly improbable.  But you should have it evaluated.  A barium swallow or esophagoscopy will help diagnose this condition. Talk to your primary care or a gastroenterologist.

: yes it is possible as there is a condition known as globus hystericus however it is a diagnosis of exclusion may consider referral to a gi doctor or radiologic studies if negative CBT is the initial therapy for this

i feel like there is something stuck in my esophagus. i can drink liquids but when i try to eat solid foods it feels like it gets stuck and i have to clear my throat and drink water for relief. my dr. told me to wait it out, is this the right advise?

Depends: A variety of details that are not apparent play in and watchful waiting is in many instances an option. If symptoms persist or worsen more specialized workup including an upper endoscopy may be needed.
