It's : It's hard to say without seeing you, but the sensation of a "tickle" is probably from a nerve.  A small "feeder" nerve might be getting irritated from something, which could be a shoe or even a little bone spur.

Also, issues with the lower spine can produce all sorts of funny sensations anywhere down the leg and into the foot, even without any pain or sensation in your low back.

I would say perhaps start with a neurologist, but i may be presumptuous in thinking it's a nerve issue, so i think the best starting place for you would be a podiatrist, who would be able to determine whether it's a nerve or not, or even if it seems to be originating in your back, and make the appropriate referral.

Meanwhile, you can wear a lot of pink clothes, so you'd be "tickled pink!"  (sorry)

i have walked 100kms over the past 10 days. started experiencing pain towards the inside of my leg in the region of my knee. have taken cataflam for the past 5 days. it is not easing. i am battling to bear weight on my leg?

Cartilage: It sounds like either anserine bursitis (wh/ can be helped w/ steroid inj) or a torn meniscus wh/ needs to be repaired thru arthroscope. Try todo exercises to strength quads to give more support to the knee joint. Good luck!! :)

See a Dr!: I cannot  tell what is causing your symptoms, but you should have it seen by a Dr as soon as possible!  Possibilities include cellulitis (infection), thrombophlebitis (blood clot) or even sciatica (a pinched nerve). There are other possibilities, but the first two I mentioned are the most serious and need to be ruled out, especially if there is swelling  and redness where it hurts!

Neuro exam: Pain and weakness in the leg can be a symptom of spinal stenosis or other causes of pressure on the spinal nerves. Considering your age and history, you need a thorough history and exam followed by special studies like MRI and EMG .

Neuropathic pain…: Resembles burning sensation or pins & needles. Often see in diabetes or with back problems in which nerve is compressed. May be seen with some meds. See pcp for evaluation & options for tx. If diabetic, work with doc to get sugar under control. If due to back problem, nsaids, muscle relaxers, therapy may help, pain management can help; surgery may be needed to relieve pressure. See doc.

Possible nerve prob.: Many patients describe a 'burning' sensation in legs when they have a pinched nerve. If there is constriction on the nerve that can be relieved such as by treatment of slipped disc, the burning may go away. If the abnormal sensation is due to diabetes, Gabapentin (neurontin) is used to block the nerve signals and relieve the burning.
