i had surgery for pyloric stenosis as an infant. i'm 40 now and can feel food moving through that part of my stomach. do i need surgery again?

Not necessarily...: Most likely not; you are probably experiencing some increased motility from what you ate.  Scar tissue forms after any major surgery; but as your procedure was so long ago i would say no.  If you experience any vomiting of blood or undigested food, change in bowel habit, or change in bowel habit then i would suggest a visit to the primary care doc; and possibly a GI consult.

20 ws with fet.twins the stomach tightness that seems like it causes discomfort is this braxton hicks or the babies moving ?

Contractions...: Stomach tightening with twins usually is a contraction.  If these are rare, they can be "Braxton Hicks" contractions.  If they are more frequent, it could be pre-term labor.  You should have a low threshold for letting your doctor know about contractions when you have twins.  Best Wishes!

No: ALS affects alpha motor neurons that are not present on the muscles of the stomach and intestines.

Gas? No, it...: ...Really should not feel anything like a baby moving. Babies really kick, to the point where whoever is snuggling  to your stomach feels a punch.

No: They can cause pain in abdomen, blood loss in ' poop', anal/ peri anal itching, no weight gain despite voracious appetite, pale complexion/ anemia.

See physician: While intestinal contractions and movement my feel similar, your concerns need to be addressed.  A very high level of the hormone HCG can result in a negative pregnancy test, but this is unusual in a normal pregnancy.  In addition, movement in pregnancy is generally notices in the 5th month.  See your physician for an exam to answer your concerns

Stomach movement: Check HCG  . May be gurgling from reflux/ gastritis/ H pylori (  bacteria associated w/ gastritis)  or intestinal gas from food intolerences to milk or gluten  or constipation. Could try simethicone for gas  but if sensitive to food need to avoid those foods. Also may be gallbladder issues  in digestion though that is on right side. .Rarely ovarian issues/ thyroid may cause bloating. f/u w/doc

By...: By the 17th week you may start feeling your baby moving. However, some women, especially if first pregnancy don't start feeling any movement until the 23rd-24th week of pregnancy.

Can't say: There are many possibilities and without more information there is no way to say for sure. You need to see your doctor who can take a full history and do an exam. This is definitely not normal and needs to be looked into. Good luck with feeling better soon.

39 weeks today stomach is hard on top, what is it? i can feel baby moving around my belly button. on my last appointment doctor said she could feel babys head does that mean baby has dropped?

Contractions?: You may be having contractions, if your stomach is hard at times.  If the doctor felt the baby's head, it  does not mean that it dropped, necessarily.  It does mean that the baby has a head,  which is very good, of  course!  If you have increasing contractions, or the baby moves less than normal, or bleeding, call your doc right away!
