why do i wake up in the middle of the night feeling nauseous and dizzy?

Broad Differential: It depends upon whether you are awakened by these symptoms in association with movement.  If so, BPPV (benign positional vertigo) becomes more likely.  If not then the differential includes partial complex seizures, obstructive sleep apnea, metabolic derangement such as hypo/hyper glycemia, or meds such as sleep aids.

Blood pressure? : Sometimes eating causes the blood pressure to go down.  That can cause nausea and dizziness.  Or you could have a stomach problem, such as reflux or even stomach emptying problems.

GI virus: Most nausea/stomach ache are due to a viral infection. No need to see a Dr unless you have dehydration due to vomiting, severe electrolyte imbalance due to diarrhea/vomiting, or Lethargy. Make sure you are drinking lots of fluids and electrolytes, get some rest, and wash hands frequently to avoid spreading the illness.

i'm wondering if i could have meningitis about 13 days ago i used ice in my nose to alleviate some pain and inflamation...this evening i started feeling nauseous and dizzy...what are the odds i've been exposed to nagleria fowleri and could these be early

If : If you are having headache, fever, vomiting, neck pain or stiffness, or any rash, you should be evaluated for possible meningitis.  If you have those symptoms then you should go in immediately for a complete evaluation.

Lotsa possibilities: When you just have a couple symptoms, let's say trouble sleeping &amp; low energy level, we can make an educated guess that the problem is stress/depression, But with 5 significant symptoms, the only option is to see your doctor, provide a thorough history and work through the possibilities together ranging from ulcers to blood pressure issues to bowel inflammation/irritation to thyroid problems, etc

Dizzy: Make sure to hydrate (drink to replenish your electrolytes ie; gaterade, powerade) you could be dehydrated. Take the medications with food and drinking alot., in your case don't wait see a physician  immediately to rule out other possibilities.

Anything is possible: Have you missed your period?  Have you done a pregnancy test on yourself?  If you've missed your period then, by getting a pregnancy test and testing you will know the answer

Miss period?: Home pregnancy test should be done 5 or more days after a missed period. Negative result on a test done too early does not rule out pregnancy. You may wish to repeat the test at 5-6 days after a missed period, use first morning urine and follow the instructions for the test carefully.

been bleeding for 20+days post partum . ultrasound done a week ago came back normal . recently been feeling nauseous and dizzy/lighthead at night?

Get Evaluated: You need to be checked to see if there is an elevated HCG which could indicated that there is retained placenta. You also need to have your blood count checked. Contact your gyn for further evaluation.
