Broad Differential: It depends upon whether you are awakened by these symptoms in association with movement. If so, BPPV (benign positional vertigo) becomes more likely. If not then the differential includes partial complex seizures, obstructive sleep apnea, metabolic derangement such as hypo/hyper glycemia, or meds such as sleep aids.
