Post nasal drip: From the limited information you gave it seems you might be suffering from a post nasal drip caused by a probably allergic upper airway reaction and might have already used some cold &amp; flu preparation.  Your regular GP should be able to prescribe the correct medicines you need for the phase you are in.

See someone soon.: Probably has something to do with the belt.  If you applied enough pressure you may have injured some of the structures in your neck. not sure what i have, i feel congested and i feel something in my throat which i think is phlegms, but it doesnt hurt its just the feeling, i have to clear my throat a lot to not feel the phlegms in my throat?

Post nasal drip: Hi, what you are feeling is mucus that drips in the back of your throat. It is called post nasal drip. It is caused by environmental allergens. You can use antihistamines to decrease the mucus build up in the sinuses to decrease the drip or use nose sprays that do the same. Using a humidifier or ionizer at night might also help.

i have a feeling of something in my throat, like tightness, but i have no pain and i can eat and drink normally. what could cause this?

Hard to say: The linings of the swallow tube are not provided sensory endings like the surface skin so any feelings are somewhat hard to localize. Backwash of stomach acid upwards can cause irritation/sores that can trigger spasms. Antacid tablets might help some. This can also be from a suppressed fear of choking or other issue. A visit with your doc or a GI doc might help you sort this out.

See a doc: It could be many things from inflammation, swelling, obstruction etc.  It is a great idea to see your doc for a good check up and testing.

It can feel that way: The sensation of feeling something in your throat and no issues with breathing can be present with a tooth abscess, depending upon where the abscess is, i.e., upper jaw vs lower jaw as well as how much swelling is present.  If you experience difficulty in swallowing or breathing, you need to be seen ASAP as either of those problems need immediate attention.
