i am 18 and i constantly feel bloated after eating even if it's a light meal and bloating lasts a couple of hours then debloat by itself however there is no pain accompanied with my bloating so is this something to worry about and what should i do?

Bloating is caused by a combination of air you swallow and gas created by gut germs as they feed on intestinal debris. Why you are gaining weight can only be determined by history/exam and testing.

Well, that can : Be tough.  Medically, it could be thyroid.  Do you get alternating constipation and diarrhea? Are you sleeping well at night or waking up recurrently? Do you have heavy periods that could cause anemia? Do you clinch your teeth at night and or have recuurent headaches? How is your stress level?  You can try some generic zantac, (ranitidine) u may have reflux but most common sorce of fatigue 4u is stress or mood.

How Much eat?: Large can mean different things to different people., but it can cause bloating as can taking carbonated beverages with the meal or having a  lactose intolerance. Try eating smaller meals and consider the possibility of lactose intolerance. Small bowel overgrowth of bacteria can also cause bloating. If it persists, consult your doctor.

See your doctor: Bloating is caused by gas, which could occur because of any of the following: 1) stomach acid is being neutralized by a base (opposite of an acid), 2) could be caused by intestinal bacteria, 3) could be caused by lactose (milk sugar) intolerance, 4) could be from swallowed air during eating, or 5) many other causes. Try to identify foods, especially milk or cheese, and limit talking during meals.
