A bit of digging: Suggests that this might be due to superficial irritation of your tongue made worse over a night perhaps from open mouth sleep. Some tongues may have slightly unusual surface sensitivity. If you are troubled, see a Dr or ENT. If not, don't draw it out by sucking hard and try some sucking lozenges to keep mouth moist/closed during sleep. Best wishes.

: You should see a pulmonologist with these latest symptoms. You may have acute bronchitis on top of your chronic asthma. You may need some additional meds, including an antibiotic. : If what you described are accurate you have 2 different symptoms, hematemesis (vomit blood) and hemoptysis (cough up blood). The first symptom is not uncommon which can happen when you are retching too much; however, it is not related to the second symptom unless you have aspirating pneumonia with heavy vomiting in supine position. If fever or dyspnea or chest pain occurs you need to see a doctor.

The purpose is to see if an infection is causing an illness. If bacteria grows, it is identified with various reagents and then tested for antibiotic susceptibility for treatment purposes.

Huff cough: Cough techniques can be very helpful. Look online for huff cough techniques.  Also if you have any bronchodilator medication (albuterol) or can get humidified air (like in shower), this can be helpful.
