For sure: I personally was very sick with fever and chills but no cough, It eventually was determined that I had right upper lobe pneumonia. You show have examination by physician and possible radiographic exam. One of major symptoms for community acquired pneumonia is chest pain. Of course musculoskeletal issues can also cause chest and back pain.

Wheezing: if wheezing should get treatment, as this is not the norm and compromises effective oxygenation and places stress on the lungs and heart. may need inhaler. May also need antibiotics as even viral infections can get superinfected with bacteria.  f/u/ w/ doc

Any : Any cough that lasts longer than 2 weeks should be evaluated by a doctor.  You could have a bacterial super-infection or a hypersensitive lung reaction (like asthma) on what started out as a cold a month ago.  Give your doctor a call - hopefully with a good history and exam, they'll get to the bottom of your cough and have you feeling better in no time.  Good luck!

Could be either: They symptoms are likely related to an upper respiratory infection; however depending on the time sequence and persistence of symptoms, allergies could be playing a role if there is no improvement in the near future.

Should the symptoms persist or should they worsen, i recommend seeing your primary doctor and possibly an allergist.

You : You likely have a lot of mucus to cause the rattling. The first thing is to stay away from cigarette smoke if you know smokers. The second thing is to hydrate very well with water. It is easiest to expell the  mucus when it is moist. Recommend at least 8 8 ounce glasses of water per day. An over the counter expectorant can also be helpful (you can talk to the pharmacist at your drug store for specific recommendations). Possible: Rattling noise are common to colds and upper respiratory infections and sound like it is coming from the chest but often are only transmitted sounds. Hard to tell. Have your pediatrician listen to determine if there is wheezing, then you will know for sure.
