Schmorl's: nodules, related to back injury. You must be seen and evaluated by your PCP or orthopedic surgeon and you will need an MRI to diagnose these areas.

Not unexpected: There's no question only a few bits of information of your post calamity of having fallen on your back. Sounds like it smarts.  If you are turning all sorts of colors and it's exquisitely tender you should either go to a doctor who can look at you or an ER to get some xrays.  If you're not inclined to do either then, at least ice down a bit for a day or 2 if you haven't already then, apply heat.

Pain block injections in lower lumbar: Have you had a traumatic event in the past? such as an MVA,, sport injury or a bad fall?
Did the Dr. did imaging studies of the lumbar, pelvic studies? If so can you share the results. Where were injections placed? epidural? or in trigger points?
Please get the imaging studies, get an appointment, and we will go over the injuries you have. what medications you are on?

Possibly: Yes, it could potentially be musculoskeletal, but because it could have cardiac, respiratory sources or even be related to complication from your surgery, I would let your surgeon know immediately.

Hip?: Next thing to check is hip and proximal femur in you age group hip problems would be labral tear  avn or pauciarticular RA or dysplasia and early DJD  esp if you limp as well, limp spiine clear think hipsee orthopedist.

i'm scheduled for cervical spine surgery, pressure on my spine and herniated disks, the issue goes back 2 years, can i wait another year?

It depends: it depends on your symptoms.  If you have not tried a course of physical therapy, I would recommend this before having surgery.  If you are having symptoms of neurological compromise, such as numbness or weakness in your arms / hands, then you should probably proceed with the surgery.  If you are having a lot of pain, you should probably proceed with the surgery. You should talk to your doctor.

Unlikely.: It could be from a bad posture in a growing child, or from lack of full bony development; or in older persons due to wear and tear.

Muscle strain: As long as you are not experiencing symptoms into the legs (numbness/tingling), your localized back pain is most likely due muscle strain.  As a general treatment strategy: application of ice, and consider wearing a simple back support for a few days. If able, NSAID treatment for a few days can reduce inflammation and pain. If symptoms persist a visit to your doctor would be advised.

Posture: Likely fatigue of muscles from posture and some muscle weakness. Do extra exercises for those areas and watch posture.
