i am pregnant, suffering from allergies plus a virus. last couple of days i feel hot but my temperature is low-why is it low is it dangerous for baby?

Unlikely: Unless there's an element of hypothermia, wherein your ambient temperature is cold, it's not going to harm your baby. The best treatment for viral infection in pregnancy is lots of fluids and rest, rest, rest. Allergies, you can take otc allegra, Claritin (loratadine) or zyrtec if they are bothering you. But as far as the cold is considered, just dress warmly and get some rest so you can recover.

Yes : Low TSH is most commonly seen in hyperthyrodism (elevated thyroid hormone level) and this condition can cause the symptoms described. See your doctor for an examination soon.

Vasodialation: Your blood vessels may have dialated significantly because the water was so hot. When you stood up the blood may have been driven toward your feet by gravity. This means less blood and thus less oxygen going to the brain which can cause dizziness. I would caution you not to take baths that are so hot. And avoid use of alcohol if in hot water.

How Old? How Low?: Keep in mind that 98.6 is simply an average temperature.  A lower temp may be normal for him.  A child who is very ill can have a low temperature which is ominous for a serious infection,  but I am speaking of a listless child generally so sick he'd be in an ICU somewhere.  Also keep in mind that many thermometers measure temps " outside" of the body, so they will read lower than a rectal temp

To ER: If your baby stopped urinating, take her to the ER right away. Dehydration kills infants. She may not be eating for reasons like sores in her mouth, teeth pain, sore throat even without a fever. A normal baby should have 5 wet diapers a day at least. Is she drinking at all? Try Ricelyte or pedialyte on from the grocery store while on your way to the ER.

LOW BODY TEMPERATURE: You did not say how low is your temp'even though 98.4 is cosidered normal bp.But some people have 1 to 1.5 degree lower than that as their normal temp and they feel fine without any symptoms and do not feel cold.Your body is used to this temp and you feel normal.

Usually...: ...It means you took it wrong. In hypothyroidism or hypothermia, you'd be feeling very weak with a really low temperature.
