In some cases: Normally, you wouldn't feel blood flow into the foot; however, if there is an injury, many times you can feel a "throbbing sensation".

Pulses: Check for pulses on the top of the midfoot in line with the second toes.  Also on the inside, big toe side, of the ankles.  Poor ciculation could also create a pinkish redish color when your feet are down.  Pain could also be a symptom.

You probably don't: Does not sound like raynauds. Back issues are definitely not raynauds and your symptoms in your feet are not either. Raynauds is branching or cyanosis of hands and/or feet with cold exposure.

Yes- normal: Dear athlete, you have great blood flow in your legs, heart,.. all body. If you feel pulse same as heart .. these are normal arteries close to surface easy to feel( more so in thin athletic person ) Keep exercise , eat healthy, if any doubt talk to adult.. and your doc.

No meds: Episodic vasospasm (constriction of small arteries) of the fingers or toes. It is characterized by digital (fingers or toes) blanching or white color, cyanosis (blue), a feeling of numbness or dulled sensory response and rubor (red) after cold exposure and rewarming.
Patients with raynaud's phenomenon should avoid unnecessary cold exposure and wear warm clothing.

There : There are many causes of toe numbness. Are you diabetic? If so then you may be dealing with a diabetic neuropathy. If not then i suggest you be screened for diabetes. Certain drugs can cause this problem, as well as vitamin b-12 deficiency, and a condition called tarsal tunnel syndrome. The bottom line is to visit your primary care provider in order to figure out the cause of your symptoms.

Most: Likely its a nerve problem. Should have nerve conduction study and maybe a nerve block.  If your color is normal to your foot i doubt its vascular.

Now you need : To assess if the cause is from the back, a systemic disease, side effect of a medication, vitamin deficiency etc.
