is ileus with fecal stasis dangerous?

Not usually: An ileus is a slowing down of the motility or flow through the bowel, and can occur typically when someone is taking a lot of pain meds, or has recently had a big operation.  Some metabolic problems can cause it also.  It generally doesn't require an operation, contrary to a bowel obstruction, which may.  It is sometimes difficult to distinguish between the two.  A surgeon can help differentiate.

i went to the er 2 nights ago bcuz i had a bm with a lot of blood. they did a ct without contrast. they said a hemorrhoid probably ruptured. i got the results emailed to me and it says fecal stasis. what is that i couldnt find anything online?

Fecal stasis : This describes that your colon is filled with fecal material and probably not getting out so easily. The stool in the colon can become harden when not eating enough water or fiber. When trying to have a bowel movement the person  pushes hard and irritates the veins around the rectum (hemorrhoids)  that bleeds . There are other reasons for fecal stasis. Stool transfer: Quite simply, stool from a healthy individual is transferred by enema into the colon of a sick patient.  In so doing, the bacterial population from the healthy subject is transplanted into the gut of a patient whose bacterial flora is impaired (as in refractory c.Difficile infection). This experimental technique has recently been picked up by the lay literature & popularized. Don't try it at home!
