what is fatty tissue supposed to feel like? i can feel lots of small "fat" lumps underneath my skin in particularly fatty areas when i press down.

Hard or fatty?: A hard lump could be a small fibroma. A fatty lump would not be hard. This would be a lipoma. Both are usually benign but to be sure you need an exam. Get it checked out so you can stop worrying about it.Hope this helps.

U/S is non specific: You need diagnosis. More history. The U/S adds a little but not enough. MRI would also add info, but again may not be enough. MRI would be most sensitive in seeing borders and might give useful info for a surgeon, for ex. vascularity. Only surgeons can decide on incisional bx. vs. excision. Hacking around is cheapest, but for me (a radiologist) MRI is good to avoid surprises and safe to do.

Probable lipoma: The lump is probably a lipoma, which is a benign fat tumor.  If you see a dermatologist, they can usually tell you whether it could be anything else and whether it it worth removing it.

i have a big long lump on my tight, 10cm, appeared 3months ago. surgents thinks its nothing serious, deep imaging shows noncapsulised nonvascularised fat tissue. skin unchanged, no pain. is mr 100% acurate in diferentiating lipoma from lipocarcinoma?

Lumps: The most common cause of movable, nontender  subcutaneous lumps are benign fatty tumors called lipomas. A physician or dermatologist can examine and advise you about your lumps.

after losing 45 lbs, i have tiny lumps under skin of my abdomen. they are fairly mobile, small, and there are dozens. are they accumulations of fat?

Possibly: These could be fat nodules or cysts. However it could be something else. Please see a dermatologist to have these evaluated.

Difficult to say: If they are small and widespread, cellulite is the most likely diagnosis. If only 1-2 larger lumps, may be fatty tumors.  This can be readily distinguished by your doctor on exam.

Subcutaneous Bumps: Without seeing the lesions it is very difficult to make a diagnosis. The lesions could be epidermoid cysts, lipomas which are fatty rumors, cystic acne lesions or even minor infections.

2 months ago i noticed some thick areas of skin which feel like lumps on top of my right hip the skin above is darker than surrounding. it is painless, didnt increase in 2 mnths. ultrasound shows just diffuse prominence of subcutaneous fat?

: It is not feasible to provide a meaningful opinion without examining you. Could the affected area be subject to friction from clothes, belt, phone etc? If you are overweight, losing weight may be helpful.
For healthy diet: http://www.choosemyplate.gov/., exercise 30 minutes/day, drink enough water daily so your urine is mostly colorless, have safe sex, no tobacco alcohol weed or street drugs.
