: Hba1c was very reassuring. Pregnancy is a state of high insulin resistance. Take the glucose tolerance test in a timely fashion. Eat healthy regularly , exercise and stay active. Good luck.

Metabolic problems: First of all, don't panic. Many women develop sugar problems during pregnancy. Your obstetrician is  trained to screen for these and other metabolic disorders that can  cause problems during your pregnancy  but  once identified,  you will be advised about how to manage these problems, sometimes using diet alone or with medication. You may also be referred to see an endocrinologist.
