Their training: General practice usually means the doctor has completed only an internship (1 year) of hospital training after medical school. Family physicians and internal medicine doctors usually complete 3-4 years of further training after medical school and they take exams to become  board certified in their specialties. All three may take care of some of the same problems, but their training is different.

Everyone : Everyone should have a primary care doctor to help care for their basic medical needs.  The people who do this are: family doctors (kids and adults), internal medicine (just adults), and pediatricians (just kids).  All of the people in these specialties have been through rigorous training and who you see just depends on your preference and who you "click" with.  The best way to find someone is to call your insurance company and get a list of doctors in your area that accept your insurance and are accepting new patients.  Then from that list, you can ask people you know who they see and like.  You may also want to check and see if the doctor you're seeing is board certified - i attached a website below in which to do this.  You may meet a few doctors before you find one you really like - and that's ok.  The right one is out there.

Internal medicine: Primary care doctors are two kinds family medicine and internal medicine.  Family medicine doctors see pediatrics and gynecology also. Internal medicine doctors just see adult patients. Internal medicine doctors are more more trained to deal with multiple complicated conditions.

I am concerned about your paranoia.  Paranoia can make a person feel persecuted.  The way you describe your situation makes me think you have some form of mental illness causing your paranoia.

I would recommend you reflect on how you feel, and if you are so inclined, seek care for this.  This is just an opinion, based on your post above.
