i have been recently diagnosed with trichomonas. but my boyfriend is not positive.  how is that possible ?? i had no symptoms.

Trichomoniasis: There is not a reliable, accurate commercially available test for trichomoniasis testing in men. Urethral swabs and urine testing can be done. A positive test is reliable but a negative test is not. Male partners of a female who has tested positive should be treated empirically. Trich diagnosis: What test was done with your "vaginal swab" test 9 months ago? If that was an attempt to find trichomonas looking at vaginal fluid under a microscope, that test misses at least 50% of all trich infections. Maybe this time you had a DNA test for trich, which is much more accurate. Trichomonas and BV cause similar symptoms (primarily discharge with odor). Probably you had trich all along.

hello doctor i took urine test & result is positive bacteria, but i dont know what bacteria, doctor gave urinter 400 mg, levofloxacin 500mg, dexycyline 100mg, if the bacteria are trichomona, clamydia, or gonorea, can these antibiotic cure it ? thnk?

: The urine test-culture &amp; sensitivity gives the kind of bacteria and what antibiotics work on them. The antibiotics mentioned usually work on all of them. I do not know what 'urinter' is. Never hesitate to ask your doc about what you have and what medicine used, possible side effects at the time of treatment. Hope you do well

Not certain: But sometimes this is because a sexual partner hasn't been treated.  Even if you are treated, you can get reinfected if a partner does not get the treatment as well.

Unclear: I may not be understanding your question, but to my knowledge the only way to get trich is through sexual contact with an infected individual. I've heard tales about getting trich form towels and so on, but i'm not aware that's been proven.

The parasites are usually successfully treated with an antibiotic; METRONIDAZOLE
