Sketchy: As accurate as you want them to be. That is, "real" IQ tests are taken in a controlled, supervised environment. They are also interpreted by professionals who take int account the test-taking environment. Automatic, on line tests o none of that.

Watch for signs of cough, distress and if these occur, please see a physician right away. Most cases are mild to moderate and recovery is within two to three weeks.

Dementia typically has loss of abstract thought, and impairments in problem solving, insight and judgment.  Neuropsych testing can assess this.
