Blood supply: There are several sources of blood supply to your bones. Long bones have a nutrient artery inside them that feeds them with pressure through haversian canals in a centrifugal supply. This blood supply dominates the blood supply to your bone, but if a fracture disturbs this supply, most of the flow comes through the periosteal lining which is rich in blood supply , through a centripetal supply

Cartilage is cartilage and  bone is bone. Articular cartilages lie over some spongy bone and bone gets more dense further down. The cartilage helps to protect the bone, lubricates, absorbs impact.

There is no such thing, that i know, called sitz bone. The bones we sit on are the ischiums.
Sitz baths are used for hemorrhoids or after surgery for them.
