Go see ur Family Doc: I will defer to my more learned colleagues as to whether you should lactate your infant or not in your current situation. However, I'm more concerned that you haven't been evaluated &amp; treated for possible cellulitis (some antibiotics should not be taken when lactating). So my priority is to urge you to get seen now.

Cholinergic  hives: Cholinergic Or heat urticaria. Contact your dr or allergist for treatment

Facial rash: Facial rashes can be caused by many things. Most commonly, they are due to contact sensitivity to products used on the face, but they can also occur from sunburn, medications, allergic reactions to plants, food allergies or infections (bacterial, fungal or viral). The treatment depends on your history and sometimes tests to demonstrate the allergic or infectious problem. See your dr if persistent.

Flushing: There can sometimes be reasons for flushing so i would see an endocrinologist if you can. If no cause can be found there are some medications that can help. Sometime even an antihistamine that is over the counter such as Allegra (fexofenadine) can help. You should also make sure your thyroid is under control. Ask if any of the drugs you already take would adversely interact with an anihistamine.

Possible infection.: Redness and warmth, with or without pain, can be a sign of infection.  Or it may be a localized reaction (dermatitis) to something that has come in contact with your skin. Do you have any sore teeth, swollen gums, fever?  How long has this has been going on? Consider a Prime Urgent Care Consult and a better diagnosis may be given. Fill out your health history in detail first. Or see a doc ASAP.

Sinusitis: Severe SInusitis can cause facial discomfort with possible entrapped purulent secretions causing the hot sensations. Steam inhalations and irrigating the nasal passages with warm salt water promoting drainage are important in relieving some of your symptoms. Sometimes a more potent antibiotic is needed to clear up severe SInusitis. An otolaryngologist is best qualified to evaluate and advise you.

Don't know: This rash needs to be visualized &amp; a history needs to be obtained in order to make an accurate diagnosis.  Sometimes lab testing or biopsy is necessary.

Acne: It is important to treat your acne so that you don't get permanent scarring.  Some patients wait too long before seeing their dermatologist to have their acne treated. Normally topical medicines and internal antibiotics are used to keep acne under control.  You can start with an over the counter benzoyl peroxide wash while you are waiting for your appointment with your dermatologist.

is ice or steam heat better for the absorption of skincare products? i saw a video of someone rubbing their face with a large block of ice for glowy skin & other. wouldn't ice restrict the pores and prevent product absorption or am i missing sumthin?
