I have never: Seen a rash develop as the result of  acupuncture needles that are placed briefly and then removed.. However, if a person is allergice to nickel and stainless steel semi-permanent needles are placed in the ears, this could lead to a reaction. This can be overcome by use of titanium, silver or gold asp needles. Take care.

Too many to list: There are dozens of acupuncture points on the neck and back. The acupuncturist chooses points depending on the specific nature of the symptoms and on what they find on exam of the individual.

Acupuncture point: One of the points that is commonly used is the li4 point; which is on the large intestine principal meridian.  Your acupuncturist will be familiar with the location of this point. This should not be needled in pregnant women. There are other points used that can be reviewed with your acupuncturist.

Not that I know of.: There are auricular protocols for decreased libido - but i don't know of a button to push for an instant orgasm.

See an acupuncturist: It is not really possible to tell you exactly where the points of acupuncture for all the locations of pain you seek, in this limitted space. Some sample is shown here on the picture, but i would advise you to seek a consultation with an acupuncturist to find out what is involved and whether or not acupuncture is right for you. Good luck.

Not sure it does: Acupuncture is mainly used for chronic or acute pain. Like many types of treatments, there are those who exaggerate what it can do.

Accepted Answer

Possibly: Acupuncture can help with pain associated with residual facial synkinesis as well as atypical facial pain, in ~40% of people. Acupuncture is ineffective at restoring normal nerve connections to diminish synkinesis, however. Specific treatments by a speech therapist can stimulate facial muscles & nerve to help retrain your muscles and may be more effective to restore normal motion/function.

Trained: If you are adequately trained in the art/ practice of acupuncture - you can provide self treatment. I do. I wouldn't go around poking yourself in the face with  needles if you don't know what you are doing.

There are so many: - that i can't begin to count. I have an inch wide text book with ear acupuncture points (similar to acupressure).
