Stye : Sounds like a chalazion (stye). By 6 months, chances are it's not going to resolve without treatment. See an ophthalmologist. Removing them is a simple office procedure.

i woke up this morning with my eyelid hurting, specifically while applying eyeliner. my eyelid is sore to touch & it hurts when i blink. is it a stye?

Accepted Answer

Likely: Stop using the makeup and apply a warm wet washclothe at least four times per day.  If this does not work in a week., see an ophthalmologist.

i have 3 really tiny white spots located under my lower eyelid (where i put my eyeliner on) and those spots itch like crazy at times.  should i see an eye dr or dermatologist for it or is there something i do myself to stop the itchiness?

Lid bumps: See an eye doctor and have the bumps removed.  Itching is often related to allergic reaction so try artificial tears, cool compresses, allergy meds.

i think i have eyelid mites. used a new eyeliner 3 weeks ago and scab keeps growing on the roots. burn, swelling, blurred vision, pain.

Sounds yucky: There are many types of infections of the eyes that can cause your symptoms.   Most are self limited and go away with minimal treatment.   Because of the persistence and drainage you really should see a doctor capon and get a diagnosis, treatment and some relief.   Best wishes.

my lower eyelid swollen(bump) with a small acne on the eyelid margin(no redness or other symptoms). it is from 2 or 3 months. i used api tobrason eyeliner from 5 days but today i feel it is worsen (slight pain). is it dangerous & what could it be?

: A pimple (small acne per your opinion) should not persist for 2-3 months. You probably have a small cyst and it is now irritated either by the eyeliner or it is just a coincidence. You should not use that eyeliner for now, apply warm compress several times a day for a couple days. The lesion may need to be drained if the inflammation gets worse. Sooner or later, the cyst needs to be taken care.

my eye crusts are often times black due to my eyeliner. is this bad?

No: No, this is actually quite common and not worrisome.

Accepted Answer

Its possible: When improperly applied, they could irritate the eyes.  Be sure you keep them away from the eyeball itself, and don't rub your eyes when you are wearing them. If you have an eye infection, throw them out and start with new ones once it clears up.

Not a problem: These products are not designed to get onto the eye itself.  They go on the skin and lash line and so will not aggravate or alter underlying dryness of the eye itself.

i got soap in my eye when i was washing my eyeliner off it stopped burning but then it was aching and that stopped but my eye still feels weird?

Soap in the eye: Keep flushing your eyes with warm water, the soap irritated it and it may take half a day to feel better. If it is not resolved in a few hours, seek medical attention.

2 yo scratched eye lid. today the small scratch on lid spread across lower lid by lashes. looks like red eyeliner under lid. not bothering him. help?

See doc: Spreading redness from a scratch on the eyelid sounds like a possible infection, and infections around the eye can be dangerous.  I would at least call his health care provider to see if needs being seen today. Otherwise i would take him to an urgent care or er to get him examined. It is better to be safe than sorry, especially with a child this young dealing with a possible eye infection.
