you may be suffering from eczema which is a common skin disorder that produces a dry, scaly rash and usually causes itching. Season changes can be a triggering cause. You can try using an over the counter product such as a Hydrocortisone cream and see if that helps. You can also check with the pharmacist for any recommendations.  If no improvement, you may need to see a dermatologist.

Dermatology creams: Question probably better addressed by a dermatologist than an ophthalmologist. Likely suggestions would be moisturizing skin creams, or perhaps a mild otc steroid cream like Hydrocortisone 1%. Be cautious using steroid creams around the eyes, as even small amounts getting into the eyes over long periods can cause cataracts and glaucoma. Have frequent, routine eye exams.

Topical corticostero: Topical corticosteroid cream of low potency such as Hydrocortisone 1% for starters.  If this does not help then you need to see a physician who can prescribe temporarity a slightly stronger corticosteroid. If chronic than you need a steroid sparing product such as Elidel (pimecrolimus) or protopic.

It : It could possibly be contact dermatitis.  The eyelid skin is thin and gets exposed to irritants/allergens by transfer from the hands (rubbing the eyelids). I would consider seeing your dermatologist who can possibly prescribe an ointment like desonide.  Combined with cool compresses, that can be helpful.  If not, consider allergy patch testing to see if there is a specific allergen that you are sensitive to.  Read more about the true test patch testing at the link below.

Mgt.: If there is any change in vision, swelling if the eyelids or area around the eye, please see a physician. Rinse the eye with saline solution, and please see your PCP.

Lid hygiene : You may also have seborrheic blepharitis which requires ophthalmic treatment. Don't use otc corticosteroid ointment on your eyelashes. An ophthalmologist will describe a treatment regimen consisting of warm compresses, gentle massage with dilute baby shampoo, and occasionally an eye ointment, either antibiotic or antibiotic/steroid combo application to eyelids. In advanced cases, oral antibiotics.

i was diagnosed contact dermatitis on eyebrow, on 2 medications for 10 days have 4 days left swelling hasn't gone down much on eyelid any suggestions?

You may have: "blepharitis" an infection of the EyeLID....Try soaking in warm water in an eye cup ( you can purchase in any drug store)  You may have to see am Opthamologist for an antibiotic Prescription cream!

Well : Anytime somebody starts using new products on their skin and they get a rash it’s advice to stop it that will usually help it go away. Uncommon: That is uncommon but certainly possible. See a dermatogist or eye doctor who specializes in eyelid conditions for check and maybe biopsy.
