Eyelashes: Eyelashes can curl mildly or more significantly.  There is nothing specific about health conditions that will affect this.  Your upper eyelid lashes can curl downward due to eyelid aging changes.  The main issue with lashes can occur when the lashes grow toward the eye.  Then they can rub up against the eye and cause a lot of irritation.  This is called trichiasis.

Sounds like you: have a conjuctival concretion. This is a small, hard, yellowish-white calcified matter, superficially buried beneath the inside skin of the eyelid. They are generally asymptomatic, but at times can cause eye irritation and foreign body sensation. If bothersome they can be easily removed. Otherwise they are just monitored. Hope this helps!

i have 2-3 eyelashes that grow down and are bothersome. they irritate my eyes. can i stop them from growing like that?

Trichiasis: Trichiasis is a common eyelid abnormality in which the eyelashes are misdirected and grow inwards toward the eye. They can rub against different parts of the eye which, understandably, is irritating. It can be caused by an eye infection, inflammation of the eyelid, autoimmune conditions or trauma. You can't stop it but offending eyelashes can be removed sometimes with surgery. See your Eye Doctor.

my 2yr old had an ingrown eyelash on her upper lid, i pulled it a few days ago but its still a hard bump.  should i wait to see if it goes down?

Ingrown eyelash: Try warm compresses 3-4 times a day to soften it. If persistent, bring her to an  ophthalmologist.

i had an eyelash go up my eye the other day and it never came down. should i be concerned?

No problem: The eye has to deal with eyelashes falling into the eye all of the time as a normal process.  Lashes soften in the outer eye when moistened by tears and will mot cause any problem.  The eye will get rid of your lash nicely.

is it bad if eyelashes get in your eye and you can't get them out and they slide down around your eye?

Not BAD: It will cause a sensation of a foreign body in the eye.  If you cannot flip the lid and use a moistened q-tip to remove the lash, perhaps you can flush the eye with some eye irrigation.  If this fails and you cannot get help with it, then i would recommend you see your pcp or eye care professional for assistance.

Droopy eyelids: can be fixed surgically if necessary.  Please see your doc to start.  He/she will likely refer you to the proper professional for help.  If you get surgery you will see your eyes again and see better.  Peace and good health.

hello! so my eye started to swell up about 2 days ago,the swelling went down this morning,but suddenly my eyelash line has become bright red with little bit of yellow tint to it. i havent had any traumas to my eye?

: Have you used a new cosmetic for you eyes before these symptoms occurred? If yes, contact dermatitis is likely the culprit then you should discard that new cosmetic. Give it some time and your eyes will be back to normal after all materials are washed off. Good luck.
