Floaters?: It is common after the improved vision after cataract surgery to see many new floaters in the vision.  These are generally benign but merit a look by the ophthalmologist who did the surgery.

Not really: Laser is a means of delivering energy and if aimed at the lens will induce a cataract.  A cataract is a semi-solid tissue which has to be removed from the eye and laser will not do that.  Laser has been used to be an adjunct to certain parts of the standard phacoemulsification procedure with the aim of making it more predictable or safer.  But removal of the cataract requires access by instruments.

No: Cataracts are opacities (cloudy spots or spots that block light from passing through) in the lens. The lens is originally clear, and changes its shape to focus on what a person looks at. It is inside the eyeball, behind the colored iris and the pupil. Cataracts form after many years of sunlight exposure and from other causes such as prolonged Prednisone use. No eyedrops are able to help cataracts.

Depends: The treating ophthalmologist will discuss with you the means for dealing with a surgery which had complications.  This may involve extra use of medication, further surgery and sometimes referral to a specialist like a retinal surgeon.  In some cases time is the only thing needed as all eyes do   not heal at the same rate.

Cataract care: You should be given instructions by your surgeon.  In most cases eye drops are prescribed and patients will be asked to protect the eye with a shield when sleeping for a short time after surgery.  Make sure you get written instructions to avoid confusion.
