my wife is 3 weeks pregnant and has had a couple of episodes of rapid onset constipation with cold sweat, painful stool, dizziness. is this normal?

No: She needs to see her ob, she needs an evaluation, , and will most likely need a good stool softener, dizzyness and the cold sweatsare not normal , constipation without her other symptoms can be during pregnancy.

nausea, dizziness, light headed, severely constipated, severe stomach pain. laxatives and stool softeners aren't helping. will an enema help?

Consider going to ER: If you're having severe stomach pain and nausea/vomting, it's probably best you go to the ER to get checked out to make sure you're not having any bowel obstruction.

for 3 weeks, i have had constipation, bloating, gas, distended abdomen, nausea, headache, extreme fatgue, dizziness. tested & not pregnant.  advice?

Need more info: Any fever? Have you started any new medications? Are you sleeping well? Have your blood cell count, liver and kidney and thyroid function checked by a simple blood test., for additional clues.

Possibly Normal: These symptoms may be secondary to constipation or another health problem.  Generally, the best way to combat constipation is by first increasing the amount of water and fiber in your diet.  If you continue to have symptoms it is best to speak with your doctor for a proper history.

Ulcer: You may have an ulcer or esophagitis causing the symptoms you describe.  I would see a GI specialist asap as you can be internally bleeding and be at high risk for severe blood loss.

Irritable bowel: Abdominal pain and alternating bowel movements are typical for irritable bowel syndrome. Usually this improves by avoiding stimulants such as caffeine and nicotine and getting plenty of fiber in your diet. Symptoms could also be related to other problems. Would recommend seeing your physician for further evaluation.

hi, i am having some uncomfortable symptoms and i dont know what it could be, i have extreme pain when i sit for too long, laying down, and standing up im ok. also have side pain, dizziness, numbness in legs and blood in stool. should i go to emerge?

: Beyond the negative aspects of "sitting too long" regarding exercise and potential decreased venous return to the heart, which can cause blood clotting in lower extremities, "sitting too long" also compresses the sciatic nerve and can cause resultant pain.  Blood in the stool is a different problem, and should be evaluated by a GI physician as soon as possible.

Possible : if you have constipation because you not eating right and not drinking enough water it is possible to get dizzy. If that's the problem the cure would be to take something to help you go and drink plenty of water.  Of course they are other causes for dizziness and if you are concerned see your doctor.
